A P R Nair Memorial Invitational Basketball Tournament was held at Kerala Samajam Model School, in memory of Late Mr. A P R Nair, Ex-Chairman, Kerala Samajam.
The two day (7th September and 8th September, 2022) Basketball tournament was organized by Kerala Samajam and KSMS in which eight teams from the schools : KPS Kadma, KPS NML, KPS Mango, KPS Burmamines, KSMS, DBMS English School, Carmel Junior College and St. Mary’s Hindi High School participated.
The matches were played on a knock-out basis. The teams to reach the Semi-finals were Carmel Junior college, KSMS, KPS NML and DBMS English School.
Two teams qualified for the finals – Carmel Junior College and DBMS English School.
The finals were held on 8th September, 2022, 4:00 p.m. onwards at KSMS Basketball ground, in which the team from Carmel Junior College won the tournament with 25 points where as the team from D.B.M.S. English School were the Runner-up with 18 points.
Amal P Nair from Kerala Samajam Model School was declared as the Best Player.
