An informative and interactive session on Sexuality Education was organized for the parents of Std. IV students at Kerala Samajam Model School. The session was conducted by Ms. Nishi Thakur, School Counsellor.
The primary objective of the session was to create awareness among parents about the importance of age-appropriate sexuality education, and to guide them in addressing their children’s questions and curiosities in a healthy, informed, and sensitive manner. Ms. Thakur emphasized that early education plays a crucial role in helping children understand body safety, personal boundaries, and respectful behavior.
Parents were encouraged to maintain open lines of communication with their children, fostering trust and providing a safe environment for discussion. The session also highlighted practical strategies for dealing with common queries and behaviors at this developmental stage.
The interactive format allowed parents to voice their concerns, share experiences, and clarify doubts, making the session engaging and meaningful.
