Celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence

12^th August, 2022, Friday – Day 1

As a part of the celebration, a fancy-dress competition with the theme “Remembering our Freedom Fighters” was organised for the students of L.Kg and U.Kg of KSMS. Around 150 students participated in this event.

13^th August, 2022, Saturday – Day 2

The following events were organized:

1. Students of Scouts and Guides and Kerala Samajam Hindi School went for Prabhat Pheri holding placards with slogans on patriotism.

2. Students of Std. XII participated in the formation of 75 marking the 75th Independence Day using tri colours on the school ground.

3. An open sit and draw competition for the students of Std. I to III was also organized in the school with the theme as National Flower of India / National Bird of India (any one topic)

14^th August, 2022, Sunday – Day 3

The following events were organized:

1. Open sit and draw competition for the students of
Std. IV to VI with the theme as Independence Day in every home
Std. VII to IX with the theme as 75th year of Independence Day
Std. X to XII with the theme as Portrait (pencil sketch) of any Freedom Fighter

2. Flag hoisted in the school.

15^th August, 2022, Monday – Day 4

INDEPENDENCE DAY

The following events were organized:

The Chief Guest Mr. K.P.G Nair, Chairman, hoisted the national flag at 8:30 a.m. in the school premises. In his speech, he spoke about the 5 fundamental rights and 5 fundamental values that lead to the formation of five institutions which have helped shape India. He also enforced that Integrity to be the hall mark of KSMS. He acknowledged the wisdom and skill of the faculty and students in realizing the dream of the institution, “An institution with a difference”.

As the culmination of 4 days event, songs and dance on the spirit of patriotism paying tribute to the leaders of freedom struggle were put up by the students of Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) and Kerala Samajam Hindi School (KSHS).

Prizes were distributed to the winners of various events organized in the 4 day celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

All the students, staff of KSMS and KSHS, alongwith dignitaries of the Kerala Samajam, were present in the function.
