The 30th Annual Sports Day of Kerala Samajam Model School was organized at the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium, Telco Colony from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
It began with the colourful march-past by the School Cabinet and Senior students. The red, green and yellow flags fluttered against the clear blue sky, creating perfect ambience for sportsmanship.
Dr. R. Bharat, Past District Governor, Rotary club was the Chief Guest for the opening ceremony. He is a recipient of Life time achievement award for contribution to the field of plastic surgery and is a practicing consultant plastic surgeon in Jamshedpur. He inaugurated the event at 10:00 am by unfurling the flag, taking the salute by the march bearers, inaugurated the day with a motivational speech, admiring the youthful sporting spirit of students and declaring the event open.
The lamp of sportsmanship spirit was lit by the Chief Guest.

WAVE OF COLOURS drill by students of Std. VII-VIII – the blend of different colours depicts unity in diversity.
LET’S ROCK drill was performed by Std. I students – the tiny toddlers rocked the audience by their highly energetic performance.
The Karate and Yoga presentation impressed the audience with the power and finesse in their formations.

Prizes were distributed for various sporting events by Ms. Rajan Kaur, Vice Principal, KSMS, the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony. Loud cheers and shouts of victory echoed through the stadium. The Sports Day closed with the National Anthem commemorating the 30th Annual Sports Day.
