International Vulture Awareness Day

Vultures are the critical part of the food chain. They play a major role in maintaining the ecosystem in the Earth by feeding on the meat of the dead animals and thus, contributing in resisting the spread of various diseases.
The students of Kerala Samajam Model School attended an awareness session organised by the TATA STEEL ZOOLOGICAL PARK in association with Biodiversity Division of TATA STEEL on the 3rd of September, 2022.
The program was held in the Zoological Park Nature Education Centre wherein the students were told about the causes leading to the reduction in the population of vultures and means of conserving the species in our habitat.
The Environment Club of the school is always encouraged by the Principal , Ms. Nandini Shukla to avail such awareness programs. This is to keep the students updated with the prevailing crisis in the environment and enable them to execute their responsibilities accordingly.
