KSMS believes in an integrated and comprehensive development of its students. For this, physical education plays a prime role. Apart from imparting education through books, we at KSMS focus on developing the students universally.
During this catastrophic period, we are trying to engage the students through various interesting activities that shall magnify their physical as well as mental abilities.
On the occasion of World Athletics Day, which is observed on the 7th of May worldwide, the Junior Safe Club organized a two-day virtual fitness camp from 5th May, 2020 to 7th May, 2020, under the guidance of club moderators and our Principal Ms. Nandini Shukla. It was conducted for three segregated groups of students for three days through online video conferencing by teaching them yoga, meditation and various other physical exercises which increase immunity as well as concentration. Around 30 members of the club took part in this fitness camp.
A collage making competition was also conducted for 100 students of the group in which the students were supposed to make a collage of their photographs of the various yoga postures which they had learnt in the fitness camp. The best ones were selected by the moderators.
The Junior Safe Club ensures safety at home and also gives importance to fitness and enhancement of immunity by motivating the students to perform various physical and mental exercises by keeping the electronic gadgets away. During the rigorous spread of the pandemic Covid-19, a strong immune system can help in defeating the virus and staying safe.
The persistent support of the school management encourages the club moderators to organize such engaging activities frequently and successfully.
