Swarotsav : Folk Song Competition

Kerala Samajam Model School hosted Swarotsav, a Folk Song Competition organised by the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, as part of the World Interact Club Week celebrations.
World Interact Week celebrates youth leadership, community service, and cultural exchange. Swarotsav highlighted these values through the vibrant folk music traditions of India.
Four schools — Kerala Samajam Model School, Kashidih High School, Motilal Nehru Public School, and Vivek Vidyalaya — participated in the event, presenting folk songs from diverse regions that showcased the unity and cultural richness of the nation.
The programme was conducted under the guidance and support of Principal Mrs. Nandini Shukla and the Mentor of the Interact Club, Vice Principal Ms. Sujata Singh. The event was coordinated and led by Ms. Archita Bhattacharjee, Moderator of the Interact Club.
Ms. Joohi Samarpita, Chairman (New Generation), Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, graced the occasion and encouraged the participants. Ms. Amrita Choudhury and Ms. Indu Gandhi’s meticulous judgement and motivational tips will surely help the participants prepare well for their future singing endeavours.
Each performance reflected not only musical skill, but also a deep sense of cultural pride and appreciation for India’s traditional art forms. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all participating schools, teachers, and students whose enthusiasm made Swarotsav a memorable celebration of heritage and harmony.
