Kerala Samajam Model School always strives to incubate the values of safety by taking up various initiatives for the enhancement of the students’ values, stakeholders’ commitment and the societies’ viewpoint.
The Junior Safe Club (2020-2021) is such a club which has been created to engage the students in various safety-oriented activities during this lock down period. It is an initiative that promotes safe habits and also helps the students in preventing themselves and others from performing unsafe activities. We call it Work from Home initiative.
We are overwhelmed to share that the club is having around 120 active members at present who are assigned tasks through the WhatsApp group and Zoom meetings.
It gives immense pleasure to share that under the guidance of our Principal Ms. Nandini Shukla, the club celebrated World Day for Safety and Health at Work and Home on 28th April, 2020 (Tuesday) through the conduction of various activities with the help of students, parents and teachers.
A few noteworthy activities are preparing charts on precautions to be taken from Covid-19, videography on health and hygiene, best out of waste, mask making, drawing safe and unsafe habits, cooking without fire, writing poems for Corona warriors, etc.
The objective behind engaging students in such activities is to make the students responsible and stay safe especially during this pandemic. Through the students, their parents as well as the society is getting enlightened on the importance of safety. The activities will assuredly leave an imperishable influence on the students.
The staunch support and encouragement from the school management plays an important role in the conduction of such engaging and influential activities and it also inspires the club moderators Ms. Ruby Upadhyay and Ms. Harinder Kaur to take up more potent and fruitful projects in future.
