Awareness trip to Jamshedpur Forest Department on Biodiversity of Dalma Wild Life Sanctuary.
Eco Club students of Kerala Samajam Model School under the guidance of Madam Principal Mrs. Nandini Shukla, Vice Principal Mrs. Rajan Kaur, Eco Club moderators Mrs. Sheela Sudhakaran and Mrs. J. Chhaya visited the Jamshedpur Forest Department, Mango to learn more about bio diversity of Dalma Wild Life Sanctuary.
The officer in charge, Forester Mr. Dinesh Chandra enriched the students with the biodiversity of Dalma Wild Life Sanctuary, elephants in particular and the measures taken by the government like water pools, green corridor, eco sensitive zones etc for animals.
The government has established two educational and research units at Makulakochs which will promote botanical and zoological research of the vegetation and zoological species.These initiatives will promote the conservation of wild life habitat of Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary.
