Choices Today, Success Tomorrow : Guiding Class VIII Towards New-Age Careers
The Career Guidance Club of Kerala Samajam Model School conducted an insightful session named “Your future, your choice”, a guide to stream selection for the students of Class 8 today. The session was led by Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur, Moderator along with Ms. Lavanya Kaur, Assistant Moderator of the Career Guidance Club. Ms. Rina Banerjee, Vice Principal and Head of the Career Counselling Cell was also present.
As part of the programme, the members of the Career Guidance Club presented a powerful Nukkad Natak highlighting the importance of choosing the right subjects based on one’s interests, abilities, and future goals. It served as an eye-opening introduction for the students and set the tone for the session.
The objective of this session was to familiarize students with the various academic streams available for them to choose from and to empower them to make informed decisions based on their interests, aptitude, and long-term aspirations. They were explained the scope and opportunities associated with Science, Commerce, and Humanities, while also highlighting emerging career pathways shaped by the evolving job market.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and seeking clarity on their queries. It encouraged them to evaluate their strengths and align their choices with their goals. The initiative was appreciated by students and teachers alike for its relevance and timely guidance.
The school continues its commitment to providing comprehensive career counseling support to help students make confident and well-informed academic choices.
