Field Trip to educate community on Heat Management Techniques

In response to the increasing concerns about rising temperature and the importance of heat management, the members and teachers of the Environment Club of Kerala Samajam Model School, Jamshedpur organized a groundbreaking field trip to dedicate raising awareness about effective strategies to deal with heat.
Under the guidance of principal Ms. Nandini Shukla ,Vice Principal and the Club mentor Ms.Sujata Singh, along with the Club moderators Ms.Deepta Chakraborty, Ms.Jaswinder kaur Ms.Jaya Ghosh and Ms.Amita Nathan ,the students participated enthusiastically.
The initiative seemed to empower individuals, especially the green grocers, with practical knowledge and skills to cope with heat related challenges in their everyday lives. During the field trip ,the students of K.S.M.S created awareness on the insights of the physiological effects of heat stress on the human body. The students also showcased simple yet effective measures to stay cool during hot weather, including hydrating tips and proper clothing choices. They also distributed umbrellas, buttermilk, and ORS tetra packets to the vendors at Bhuyandhi market area.
The students of the Environment Club also explored the connections between climate change and extreme heat waves, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable practices to mitigate environmental impact. Through this field trip ,we aimed to empower individuals with knowledge and resources they need to stay safe and resilient in the face of heatwaves and extreme weather.
