The Association of British Scholars (ABS) Jamshedpur Chapter recently hosted a unique event, “Shakespeare with a Twist”, a short play competition designed to nurture a love for Shakespeare among schoolchildren through engaging and humorous reinterpretations of the Bard’s works.
The competition kicked off with an opening remark and a warm welcome address by Vice President of ABS Jamshedpur Chapter, Shantanu Chakraborty. Twenty-two schools from Jamshedpur participated in this exciting competition, showcasing their creativity and talent in reimagining Shakespearean classics with hilarious twists.
The Results are as follows:
First Prize: Little Flower School, Telco
Second Prize: Tarapore School, Agrico
Third Prize: Kerala Samajam Model School, Golmuri
The Best Actor: Tamanna Bose, DBMS
The Best Costume: Karthik, Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalay
The Best Twist: Loyola School
The ABS Jamshedpur Chapter extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the participating schools and winners on their remarkable performances and enthusiasm for Shakespearean classics.
