AWSAR 2023, the interhouse youth festival at our school, brought together students from four houses – Charity, Hope, Joy, and Peace. The Junior Youth Festival was held on November 28th which featured a range of events for the junior students (classes V to VII). Enthusiastic participation was seen in activities such as jewellery making, fireless cooking, poster making, umbrella painting, and rangoli making.
House captains and vice captains conducted auditions to ensure the best representation for each house. The senior youth festival included online events like photography and advertisement, with entries showcased on the Instagram account @youth.festival_ksms23.
Offline events comprised a diverse array including ramp walk, nukkad naatak, face painting, canvas painting, group dance, and group song. Transparency was maintained through code words assigned to each house, and external judges were invited to assess the students’ talents.
On December 8th we saw Joy House emerge as the overall champion, with Hope House securing the runner-up position. The festival not only showcased the students’ creativity and skills but also fostered a sense of healthy competition and camaraderie among the houses.
